SFUBAS - Bursary Information

The SFU Football Alumni Society (SFUFAS) is offering Bursaries to qualified BC Amateur Football Student Athletes in spring of 2025.

Applicants must be recommended by a director of their amateur football association or their High School Football Program Head Coach. Association Director only, please email one list of names and contact email of qualified applicants in your association.

Bursaries only apply to graduates of a BC Secondary school in June 2025 to June 2020 and active participant in organized amateur tackle football in BC in 2024.

Be aware bursaries are being granted to students that truly need financial support. Please only recommend student athletes that have received financial support to pay their fees to play football with your organization. Such organizations as KidSport or support through their school or school district for example.

Applicants will be emailed a link to apply for a SFUFAS BC Amateur Football Student Athlete Bursary.

IMPORTANT dates:

Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at 11:59 pm
Due date for all recommended Football Student Athlete applicants (RFSAAs).

Wednesday, May 7, 2025
Link to application will be sent to all RFSAAs.

Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at 11:59 pm
APPLICATION DEADLINE for all RFSAAs.

Sunday, June 1, 2025
Successful Applicants will be informed via email.
